Well its been an eventful year. Covid 19 has put us through the mill and back. However we are still here and still standing, offering stunning accommodation for you to enjoy precious family breaks away, creating long lasting memories.
Firefly our sleeps 6 over 3 bedroom cottage, was purchased in December 2020 just in time for lockdown! However during this time we have tried to improve the cottage with new additional furniture, a new 50" screen Smart TV, new pictures, towels and bedding to make your stay as comfortable as possible.
During lock down lots of things have happened at the Bay and here are just a few of the things :
John Paul Jones
The Bay have been refurbishing the John Paul Jones pub on site, which is expected to be completed on the 17th of May 2021. The seating area has been increased by opening the Kitchen eatery installing a brand-new Pizza Oven allowing you to watch your “handcrafted” pizza being cooked to order. The newly introduced food menu now includes locally sourced products, this coupled with their new drinks’ supplier is a welcome addition to their food & beverage offering on resort.
On-Site Shop
We are delighted to inform you that work has commenced on an on-site shop and it is projected to open on May Bank Holiday. This is centrally located inside the main Complex within the courtyard area. The shop will be furnished with all the important grocery items required for your stays on resort.
The Meadow
The meadow is now available to walk around with your dogs or family or even both!
The building works is nearing completion and the lake is looking stunning with the new beach houses around it. Feel free to take a stroll and wonder around it to see if you can spot any of the local wildlife.
Leisure
The leisure facilities are opening at The Bay resort from the 12th of April with some restrictions in place.
Centre Procedure - All Guests, owners, and members.
Open 8am and close at 6pm.
Please book your 45-minute swimming slots at the leisure centre, due to restrictions a maximum of 5 sessions per person allowed i.e. once per day.
Entry times will be staggered every 15 minutes with 10 people entering during each slot, controlled with a coloured band system, and designated to a pre-booked time slot.
To end the pre-period period, the lifeguard will blow the whistle, hold a coloured card up which matches the band and ask the group of people with that coloured band on to leave.
One-way system in place, please arrive ‘beach ready’ and remove outer clothing in what was the ‘men’s’ changing room.
All belongings must be brought onto poolside and collected at the end of swimming session.
To exit head into what was the ‘women’s’ changing room to change and then via the One-way system back onto the corridor using the fire exit door next to the tennis court.
Following the government advice, no showers will be available.
